We meet on Wednesday afternoons 4.00pm – 6.00pm at Fairycroft House in Saffron Walden

Whenever I go to a U3A meeting, I am always asked if I know of a Beginners Bridge class. Well, I’m afraid I don’t and so I decided to start one along with my friend Jane Guy with whom I began learning the game nearly 4 years ago.

The class is aimed at people who are absolute beginners and we follow the English Bridge Union, ACOL rules and conventions as Jane and I have been taught.

We are not expert bridge players by any means, but in the spirit of U3A we are prepared to impart our knowledge to help people begin to learn the game of bridge. I say begin to learn, as people who have been playing the game for 20 years or more say they are still learning – this is what makes it such an interesting and popular game. Also, Jane and I can only take you so far as we are not bridge teachers.

if you are interested in joining this group then please contact  Linda or Jane.
